During the senior year within the DMCA students are required to complete a 135 hour internship experience. This internship can be completed in a variety of different career fields. The purpose of the internship experience is to bring to life the career and technical skills that students have learned throughout their time in the Academy. Interns and Supervisors work together at the beginning of the process to establish learning objectives so that nearly any career area is compatible. Part of this process involves students reaching out to potential partners to secure an internship location.  Once this major step has been accomplished the Intern and Supervisor submit a formal request to the Academy Coordinator and the internship experience comes to life!
